People are moving to Texas in droves post-pandemic
Texas has seen a population surge; in 2021, the Lone Star State saw more than 170 000 people relocating from other parts of the US. There must be something drawing people to Texas, right? Well, it turns out there are several good reasons Texas is attracting people, and we will look at six of these reasons below.

Take Houston as an example: The median ratio of home price to median annual household income is just 2.9, while in San Francisco, it is 6.7. Of course, the favorable TAX laws also help, but Texas's general cost of living and transportation is lower than other States.
4. Real Estate is cheaper
The price of real estate is more affordable in Texas than in most other States in the US. There are a few contributing factors to this; Texas is mainly rural, the TAX laws are more favorable, and there are fewer restrictions on building and construction. These all contribute to lower building costs and, ultimately, cheaper real estate.
5. The weather
Although certain parts of Texas can get very hot during summer, much of the State has a pleasant climate throughout the year. People can enjoy the summer outdoors and savor the sunny weather. This is a big attraction for people who may be used to very cold and long winters.
6. Family friendly
Texans are some of the most genuine and friendly people in the US. Coupled with the favorable work environment, some of the best schools in the US, and good weather for most of the year, it is one of the best States to start and raise a family.
